FIFA remove Nigeria from its championships

  International Football Federation FIFA today decided to disqualify Nigeria, "the decision takes effect immediately. The decision of the football body was due to "government interference in the work of the Football Federation of Nigeria.
"Today, 4 October, the Committee for emergency disqualify FIFA Football Federation of Nigeria because of government interference. Shall take effect immediately," said Fifa in a statement.
