Lampard with a new injury, out for another 2 weeks
One of the leaders of the English champion Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will be absent from the sites two weeks since suffering from a groin injury, reports the Mirror. 32-year-old underwent successful surgery of hernia, but his return to the pitch will be delayed because of new trauma.
The new injury to the experienced midfielder is likely to leave him out of the squad of Chelsea matches with Aston Villa in the Premier League with Spartak (Moscow) in the Champions League and Wolverhampton in the English Championship.
As is known, the Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti will not be able to read a long time the Israeli midfielder Yossi Benayoun, who is out for six months because of serious achilles injury. Aston Villa against Chelsea in West London will feature a Brazilian central defender Alex, while captain John Terry is a doubt for the match at Birmingham because of an injury in the back. The good news for Ancelotti is that the line for the game is experienced Portuguese back Paulo Ferreira.
