Francis Jeffers, who is a match for England, has agreed to sign a contract for 10 weeks with Australian club Newcastle Jets after five months without a club forward in April 29-year-old former Everton striker and Arsenal scored against Australia in his only game for England when Australia won by 3:1 in 2003. Jeffers has no club after Sheffield Wednesday released him in May.
