FIFA bans Oceania vote to host the World Cup in 2018 and 2022
FIFA will select the hosts of the football World Cup in 2018 and 2022 tomorrow with only 22 members of the Executive Committee, having not allowed a football conference of Oceania to participate in the election. The reason for this decision of FIFA is that penalties president of the Oceania Football Confederation Reinaldo Temari from Tahiti has decided to appeal his sentence of one year for violating the ethical rules of the plant. FIFA announced that Temari site can be occupied by David Chuan from Papua New Guinea, only if Temari abandon the appeal.
Reinaldo Temari also announced he will not resign as a member of the Executive Committee of FIFA. As is known the FIFA Ethics Commission imposed sanctions on President of the Football Union of West Africa Amos Adamu of Nigeria and President of the Oceania Football Confederation Reinaldo Temari from Tahiti that both have offered to sell their vote in elections to host the World Championships in 2018 and 2022.
