Platini backed the idea of world in Qatar to be held in the winter

UEFA President and Executive Committee member of FIFA, Michel Platini, said that a wonderful philosophy choice of Russia to host the World Cup in 2018 and Qatar in 2022. "We have found new limits after the World Cup held in Africa and probably the Executive Committee of FIFA now opened up other new frontiers. There is nothing illogical in this," said Platini regarding the choice of Qatar. Meanwhile, Michel Platini, said that in principle not opposed to holding the World Cup in Qatar in winter but not during the summer when the air temperature in Qatar can reach 40-50 degrees.

"I think to play football in the Gulf in January will be easier than in summer," said Michel Platini and noted: "the World Cup in 1994 in the U.S. temperature in Dallas was, if I mistake not, 45 degrees, but there was no criticism on this issue.

Meanwhile, UEFA president said that holding the World Championships in Qatar in January will require resolution of important issues, one of which is the rest of the players after the World Cup 2022.
